The Secret Ingredient for Extra Crunchy Air Fryer Chicken Wings
If you want to take your wings from standard crispy to next-level shatteringly crunchy, there is a magical pantry staple you need to use: baking powder (not baking soda!).
How It Works: After patting your chicken wings completely dry with kitchen paper, toss them in a bowl with your spices and a light dusting of baking powder (about 1 teaspoon per kilo of wings). The baking powder alters the pH level of the skin, breaking down the proteins and drawing out excess moisture. As it heats up in your COSORI air fryer, it creates tiny micro-blisters on the surface, unlocking that legendary, pub-style extra-crunchy crust without a drop of extra oil!
How Long to Cook Frozen Chicken Wings in an Air Fryer?
Forgot to defrost dinner? Don't panic! Your COSORI air fryer can handle frozen wings perfectly without sacrificing that signature crunch.
The Two-Step Method: Place the frozen wings directly into the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C for 10–12 minutes to thaw them out and shake them loose. Once they are separated, drain any liquid from the bottom of the basket, spray the wings lightly with oil, toss them in your favorite seasonings, and blast them at 200°C for another 12–15 minutes until golden and beautifully crisp!
